A 5 day design sprint to re-design Cookie Run: Kingdom main website. Cookie Run: Kingdom is an social, role-playing action RPG game developed by DEVSISTERS. The purpose of this re-design is to improve the user’s experience by modernizing and introducing new features for new, current, and returning users.

Players have no incentive to use the official website

Players are informed with a mixture of outdated and unreleased content without ETA. Current players not having enough reason to use the website besides redeeming codes. Returning players unable to view current or upcoming content releases unless the players download the game or read from 3rd party websites.

Ideation

Designing for the players

I took the sitemap I created and started to sketch following transferring the sketches to digital wireframes. After creating the digital wireframes and started to work on the creating copy for the low fidelity I felt that I was missing something but I just couldn't quiet put my finger on it. And waited for the usability testing.

From playing the game and talking to the player base, the ones I have encountered and observed in discord has been encouraging and are huge advocates for in-game improvements.

Business Thinking
Gaming companies developing websites is a great source for people to read further about the game that they might have saw in a quick ad/video/social media post, player engagement, and promotion.
